A lawsuit filed in May 2021 accused McD’s of discriminating against black-owned media companies.
Per the article, the legal complaint states that in 2019, McD’s spent less than 1% of its advertising dollars on black-owned media companies.

This is bad enough on its own, but this is hugely disproportionate to their customer base. The article states that African Americans represent about 40% of fast food customers.
The article further states that after the lawsuit was filed, McD’s unveiled a four year plan with a commitment of “accelerating the allocation of advertising dollars to diverse owned media companies, production houses and content creators”.
Alright McD’s- when you know better- do better!
