According to the nbc news clip above, the new requirement is due to a concern for the health of county kids since they are not eligible to be vaccinated. And there has been an increase in COVID cases as young kids have returned to the classroom and to childcare centers.
The county is also disappointed in the amount of the county’s workforce and first responders that are vaccinated. Ugh!
