Joe Biden is the first President to issue a proclamation for indigenous people day. He has also acknowledged the contributions of native Americans in this country as well as the death and destruction cast upon them through the years.
Over 100 US cities have replaced Columbus Day with Indigenous People Day, while others mark the day with a dual focus (Columbus Day AND Indigenous People).
Let’s honor those folks with contributions that are often overlooked. ☺️
