On Wednesday, 11/10, the new task force of 14 members met for the first time. It was created by County Executive Angela Alsobrooks to study the governance structure of the Prince George’s County School Board. The task force consists of of parents and members from the fields of education, business, labor and the faith community.
The County’s school board has unfortunately made the news in the past due to divisions and infighting. Hopefully, the task force can get the school board in better working order and ensures that the best interests of the students, teachers and school system as a whole are addressed.
