Many people see this “gesture” as a shame versus a success. The Great Value brand Juneteenth celebration ice cream is not getting rave reviews. The sentiment is leaving a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of folks, despite the red velvet and cheesecake flavor of the ice cream.
I think it’s the musical notes and the hand slap(s) on the packaging that are making me a little “disturbed”.
At least it’s not Kool Aid or watermelon flavored with chunks of fried chicken or something. 🤦🏾♀️😂

Update: Wal-mart has issued an apology for offending folks with their “celebratory” ice cream and plans to remove insensitive items from their shelves.
