Come out and enjoy black history and lots of fun!
The celebration started back in September 1987 in Annapolis to celebrate the strength and heritage of Africans, African Americans and Caribbean folks of African descent. Kunta Kinte was one of 98 enslaved Africans brought to Annapolis in 1767.
I attended this event for the first time a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised by how great the entertainment and selection of food and handmade vendors were!
