This new service will get you to New York from DC in a little less than 1.5 hours! Seaplanes are able to take off, land and float in water.
The plane seats eight and leaves from Dulles Airport (private terminal) and touches down in New York’s East River. At the moment, this flight service is mostly marketed to business owners/ commuters.
The seaplane operator for this flight service is Tailwind Air. The starting price is $395 each way. Besides providing a shorter travel time than traveling by car, bus or train- travelers avoid TSA screening processes as they do not enter the airport terminal. Wow!
I love going to NYC! Maybe I can go via seaplane one day! Yay!
