Dining at this steakhouse is especially lovely during the holiday season. The Gaylord Hotel is decorated beautifully during this time of year, and so is the restaurant.

My family and I were a party of eight (8) and dined on December 23rd. We were nicely accommodated with a table by the window with a view of the harbor.
The waiter was kind, knowledgeable and made great recommendations. He made my 6 year old niece happy with the “butterfly lemonade” that changed from blue to purple with the addition of an acidic ingredient (lemon juice). His adult drink recommendations were on point as well.
Amongst the group were a variety of orders- steak, salads, beef ribs and chicken. The caesar salad and chicken received rave reviews. The gravy and sides (potatoes and greens) that accompanied the chicken were delicious. The petite filet was good- but VERY petite. Lol! The ribs were a bit tougher than anticipated- but were served on a bed of polenta- which was very good. We did not order dessert.

Overall, the Old Hickory Steakhouse is a lovely dining experience. This was my second visit and I look forward to the third.
